Hoo-ah! Got to see the new GoPro Camerain action at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market tradeshow in Salt Lake City – and boy was I impressed. So much so that I was imagining how it would look on hole 1! And 2, and 3, etc. So I bought one. Not the new one, but the current model, which is still pretty cool. It shoots 512×384 video (the HD version coming in November will virtually double that).
So – Yeah! We’ll have some good stuff from the tuur (which is how it is being spelled this year…)
Notes from the PFGA Board of Directors:
Schedule is being finalized…holes are being trimmed…final imprinted PFGA clothing articles are in production…the ‘name’ of the tuur will be announced in the next 7 – 9 days. Stay tuned!
As of today, the last day of May of the Year of Our Buford 2009, we are apparently just 73 days, that’s right, a mere 6,307,200 seconds away from departure.
(next paragraph only intended for current or soon-to-be PFGAers and you know who you are): Soon, you’ll have to put out the $$ to get the GPS coordinates. Because without them – and the entrance fee – you are up a crick without a paddle. And you know how painful that can be. But if you have a bell, you’re naked and it’s the middle of the night – well, some concessions can be made.
Now I admit as much as anyone that we are capable of stumbling through a town. But Oh. My. God. those Russian women, girls, really, were just amazing. Here we were, a couple of old dudes that got the ’smile’ treatment from Eastern European elegant young women dressed to the nines. Well, we followed them for a block and then went into a store. But in oldtown Sacramento they kept showing up and yes everyone else was amazed as well.
As for the hippie store we worked our way through:
And in the beginning of the 2008 “Master Thwacker” Toor, it was deemed appropriate to grab the video tool and examine some of the aspects of our golfing game.
